Laughing Liberally showcases the brightest progressive comedians from all across the nation. On this national tour and off-Broadway in New York City, Laughing Liberally uses humor and political satire to “save democracy one laugh at a time.” The comedians performing in Stowe include Will Durst, John Fugelsang, Negin Farsad, Scott Blakeman and Lee Camp.
WILL DURST – The New York Times called Durst “Quite possibly the best political satirist working in the country today.” He is a five time Emmy Award nominee who has more than 800 television appearances under his belt including: Late Night with David Letterman, HBO, Showtime, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox News. He has been fired by PBS three times. Durst has told jokes in 14 countries and racked up seven nominations for Stand-Up of the Year award. The critically acclaimed Off-Broadway run of his one man show: The All American Sport of Bipartisan Bashing, was subsequently turned into a book of the same name by Ulysses Press. In his guise as mild mannered political comic, Durst is the undisputed heavyweight champion of the All-American sport of full body contact bi-partisan bashing. Sworn enemy to all tyrants, foreign and domestic, he abides by the motto: “You can’t make stuff up like this.” To learn more please visit www.willdurst.com
