Director of Production and Facility
The Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center (SPPAC), a 420-seat performing arts center located in Stowe, VT is seeking an experienced professional to oversee all production aspects of live event presentations and facility management. This position reports directly to the Executive Director.
General Function: This position provides stage related technical support for events and manages facility, equipment budgets and maintenance.
Production Responsibilities: Advance and oversee technical requirements, stage labor, transportation and special needs of SPPAC events. Act as technical liaison, crew chief, stage manager and stage hand as needed. Liaison to all service providers for staging and other technical services as needed.
Facility Responsibilities: Manage facility and equipment preventative maintenance and serve as liaison to commercial and residential tenants and outside vendors. Function as on call crisis management, as needed. Oversee, guide, and support Facilities Manager who handles day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and cleaning. Liaison with FM to all service providers for building and physical plant matters.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will be an able team manager with broad-based knowledge of artistic presentation and support, conference planning and support, facility operations and maintenance, budgeting, and committed to exceptional customer service. S/he respects policies and procedures and works well to accomplish artists and organizational goals while operating under strict deadlines and while creating a calm, supportive, and efficient working environment that allows his/her team to excel.
