Tango! With Counterpoint, 8 Cuerdas & Cassotto Duo — August 26 @ 8:00 pm

Experience the many aspects of Tango, the passionate Argentine dance music, in a dazzling variety of instrumental and vocal combinations. Counterpoint, Vermont's professional vocal ensemble, joins forces with 8 “Ocho” Cuerdas (soprano Sarah Cullins and guitarist Daniel Gaviria) and Cassotto Duo (pianist and accordionist Annemieke and Jeremiah McLane) for an unforgettable evening. Hear the complete “Estaciones Porteñas” (Four Seasons in Buenos Aires) by Ástor Piazzolla, steamy Argentine songs, excerpts from “Romancero Gitano” (Gypsy Songbook) by Mario Castelnuovo Tedesco, as well as classic and novel dances.
