The Board of Directors for Spruce Peak Arts Center Foundation is excited to welcome Hope Sullivan as its new Executive Director beginning August 21st. She replaces former Executive Director, Lance Olson who retires in September.
Ms. Sullivan is a visionary leader who brings experience in for profit, non-profit and educational sector management, board governance and organizational change management to Spruce Peak Arts. For the past 12 years Hope has been the Executive Director of IS183, Art School of the Berkshires. During her tenure the art school restored its historic 1870 second-century Victorian facility, more than tripled its reach by developing new tactics to achieve the mission, and doubled its budget through the development of new sources of funding including significant support from the State Department of Education and several nationally-based, family foundations.
Hope has an extensive background in fundraising, program development, finance, marketing and advertising at Barrington Stage Company, Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., Sharpe Partners, and Second Stage Theatre. She holds a BS from Ithaca College and a MFA from Columbia University. She will be residing in Stowe with her 7-year old daughter and their dog.
“I am very excited about the strong leadership team we’ve built at Spruce Peak Arts Center Foundation,” according to Board President Tom Cronin. “We thank our forward-thinking board and our dedicated, tireless staff for bringing the future of the Performing Arts Center into focus with the engagement of Hope Sullivan as our new Executive Director. We are confident that this visionary leader will enhance connection and provide cultural leadership, and take Spruce Peak Arts into its next dynamic phase of building community in Vermont.”
Hope is honored to have been selected and is eager to get started at the Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center Foundation. She’ll be diving into programming, community initiatives, and meeting the many friends, neighbors, and supporters who have created this dynamic organization.
Please join with the Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center Foundation Board and Staff in welcoming Hope and her family to Stowe.
