Artists are responding to the following curatorial statement:

In the darkest times of the year, we find ourselves surrounded by shimmering crystals of snow, chasing the light. What are the beacons of light in our midst? Are they found in everyday places or in meeting new people? Flashes of light may serve as a signal or warning…yet can function as inspiration or encouragement, leading us to new ideas.

Possibility. Inclusion. Guidance. Hope. Peace.

“I have the right ideas, but my words are too…complicated. I need to simplify them, so that people won’t get lost in the dark when they see and hear them. I want them to shine like beacons of light in a world of overly complicated darkness. One day I will find the right words, and they will be simple”. – Jack Kerouac
