Kicking off Summer with a Drive by Concert Series! Spruce Peak Arts Off Stage takes music to the streets…
As designated downtowns are carefully coming alive with the welcoming breeze of Summer air to Vermont, the Arts Center is turning off the computer screen and taking local musicians to the streets.
“We are constantly looking to find new ways to connect and create community through the performing arts… We are kicking off the Drive by Concert Series to celebrate and enjoy new ways of bringing people together.” – Hope Sullivan, Executive Director of Spruce Peak Arts
Waterbury: July 18 – Chad Hollister and Primo!
Enjoy the Music in Motion series on Spruce Peak Art’s FB Live and IGTV on Saturday July 18 from 7 to 8:30p as regional favorites Chad Hollister and Primo perform from the back of a flatbed truck in Waterbury, VT.
Ways to support the artists:
Chad Hollister hails from Vermont and has been evolving as a musician and touring for over 20 years. Anthony J. Resta (Collective Soul, Elton John, Shawn Mullins) says “Hollister’s music is pure sonic alchemy” which means it’s damn good in Vermont terms! Chad has opened for Bob Dylan, Paul Simon and Tom Petty and has shared the stage w/ every PHISH member, Billy Gibbons, Merl Saunders, Warren Haynes and Blues Traveller. His music is a voice for the Positive and reminds you that life is truly a gift as is the ability to share it through music. Chad has a simple message – the world needs music to encourage, persevere and heal – and combines that with a passionate delivery that is infectious.
Jeff Poremski aka “Primo” has been playing guitar for over 30 years. He’s been playing with Chad Hollister for over 20 of those years. He and Chad play many duo gigs each year all over the country as well as being a key part of the nine piece large band. He plays for the song and from the soul and has the ability to weave in and around the lyrics and build a solo like no other. His personality adds humor and a humility that make first time listeners true fans. Primo is a world class player that brings true grit to Hollister’s songs and makes you want to yell “PRIMO” at the top of your lungs.
Spruce Peak Arts is actively seeking additional support for artist fees, marketing, and overhead costs. Please contact Hope Sullivan at email@example.com if interested in becoming a sponsor or bringing the Drive by Concert Series to your town.
