Letter from the Artistic Director

Jia Kim holding her cello on her lap, head down leaning forward laughing with a sage green mottled backgound. As Artistic Director I work to bring together musicians of the highest caliber to share their passion and talents with you. We’re hard at work finalizing plans for Season 3 and need your support to make it happen! Please, join me in ensuring the enduring availability of this style of classical music performance!

Cultivating musicians and appreciation of the art is a core part of each residency. Chamber Music Society outreach includes offering free programs to area schools to expose students to chamber music through school assemblies, music-class workshops, and orchestra/band ensemble visits. Adults have a chance to connect through the ArtSmart lecture series; the series provides insight into the musical selections, composers, and musicians that are part of the upcoming public performances. Through careful planning and programming, we ensure that the amazing talents who perform here provide wonderful experiences for us and our region, often for people who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to enjoy such music.

We’ve set the dates and themes for Season 3, more details will come soon and tickets will go on sale in mid-September.  Please, mark your calendar and plan to join us at each of our three residencies!

For details, please visit the event pages:
Saturday, October 30th performance, “Spooky Soiree”
Sunday, January 16th performance, “Music Beyond Borders”
Saturday, April 9th performance, “Spring Into Strings”

With gratitude,

Jia Kim, Artistic Director
