Curious Place Homeschool Fall 2023

Spruce Peak Arts Curious Place Theatre programs expand social and emotional well-being of students by creating a community. This place of curiosity takes homeschool students into discovery of who they are in the world of drama through scene building, characterization, ensemble work, creation of props, costumes, and most of all fun. The 8-week session culminates with a performance sharing of students’ learned experience for the larger community. All ages 6 + invited.

Goals & Outcomes
Students will:

  • Develop an understanding of what theatre is
  • Gain knowledge on how stories are told
  • Experience their musical voice with singing
  • Explore movement through choreography
  • Understand the basic tools of an actor: characters,
           projection, blocking
  • Develop the tools to set the scene
  • Develop listening skills and empathy as they become
    aware of self and others in order to create theater
  • HAVE FUN!!!

 

Minimum Course of Study Documentation will be provided by director at end of session.

Cost: Member $235, Nonmember $285
