Off Stage – Wednesday Night Music Series – Dave Keller

Wednesday, April 29, 7:00pm

Dave Keller is one of the finest soul and blues men of his generation, and a nationally acclaimed artist with strong roots in Vermont. He combines the glory days of soul music with his own deep soul, funk-filled songs. His mentors include soul and blues greats such as Johnny Rawls, Ronnie Earl and Mighty Sam McClain. Dave has ‘paid his dues’ with well over 3,000 performances, including the most respected blues and roots venues in the US, and top industry events. Dave last rocked the stage at Spruce Peak Arts in November 2019, and we are thrilled to have him back again in November 2020.

This live YouTube event is free but if you are able, in lieu of a ticket, please consider supporting Dave directly.  A little goes a long way for artists unable to perform during this time.

ABOUT DAVE KELLER

Dave Keller is one of the finest soul and blues men of his generation.  His CDs have earned him acclaim from the national and international media, including USA TodayDownbeatLiving Blues, Soul Bag (FR), and Blues and Rhythm (UK), and legendary musicians, Taj Mahal, Ronnie Earl, plus enough awards and nominations to fill a good-sized trophy case.

To understand why Keller has such a sterling reputation, you need to watch him perform.  He’s an outstanding singer, a talented songwriter and an intense guitarist, who can, in one moment, tease whisper-soft licks from his Strat and, the next, dig in hard to carve out those pure soul and bluesy sounds!

Mentored by soul and blues greats (Johnny Rawls, Ronnie Earl, Mighty Sam McClain), Keller has ‘paid his dues’ with well over 3,000 performances.  These include some of the largest festivals on the East coast (North Atlantic Blues Fest, PA Blues Fest), the most respected blues and roots venues in the U.S. (B.B. Kings in Memphis, Biscuits and Blues in San Francisco), and top shelf industry events such as the Blues Music Awards.

Keller’s devotion to his art is mirrored in the devotion of his ever-widening community of fans. Wherever he goes, he sees people who are hungry for connection, for something real. And that’s exactly what he delivers with his music!
