Off Stage – Wednesday Night Music Series – Dwight & Nicole

Wednesday, May 6, 7:00pm

Nicole Nelson & Dwight Ritcher met in Boston when they were both just out of school, cutting their teeth on the club circuit. They each fronted popular local bands, and discovered a shared love of classic soul & blues music. They began writing, and eventually touring regionally as the duo DWIGHT & NICOLE.

Along the way, they racked up nominations for nine Boston Music Awards, seven Boston Phoenix Awards, eight Daysie Awards, and nine New England Music Awards. DWIGHT & NICOLE clearly captured the hearts of critics and tastemakers on the scene. It is easy to hear and see why. This is refreshingly unadulterated, dynamic music.

Following a move to Burlington VT, they met powerhouse drummer Ezra Oklan (Nicole Atkins, Elle King) and the group quickly became a power trio. Together they have toured up and down the U.S – solidifying their new sound, and gaining many new fans along the way – including Norah Jones, Melissa Etheridge and Mavis Staples who called them her “Favorite new band!”

This live YouTube event is free but if you are able, in lieu of a ticket, please consider supporting the band directly.  A little goes a long way for artists unable to perform during this time.
